Rainier Photos is where I put photographs I have taken — mostly on a phone, mostly of nature, buildings and public space.

I am an amateur and I am not selling anything. Every photograph here carries a license, most of them Creative Commons, so you are welcome to use them: a blog post, a school project, a presentation, whatever you need. The license is on each photograph's own page — the licenses page lists them all — and most simply ask that you credit me. A credit like “Photo by Ali Roudaki — rainierphotos.com” is plenty; if you are linking, link to the photograph's own page.

I design and build software for a living. These are from walks, mostly around Seattle and the water and parks near it, taken on whatever phone was in my pocket. I put them here because a photograph nobody can use is not doing very much.

If you are in one of these photographs and would rather not be, tell me and I will take it down — no explanation needed. Same if you want to ask about using one in a way its license does not cover. Write to me at [email protected].
